It's New Year's Eve! The what??

January 21st , 12.59 AM EST

(Deyy shay bah sah rah.. the chant shouting out loud through my apple earpods)

Exhausted after two very long days. It should’ve been two hours since I slept and would be in the middle of a dream which I will obviously forget the following morning. But, that’s not what I do when I’m tired. I push it to the limits, hang around tight until the clock strikes 3AM in the night and wouldn’t want to open even a single eye even after half day passed by, for it’s a holiday tomorrow. Somewhere deep down my heart, have this feeling of hatred for missing the gym today, because of the obvious reason that it was a long day, was too lazy to drag my ass to 7th floor(that’s where my gym is located).

Well, brushing the present situation aside, I have given it quite a long thinking. Now, that ‘quite a long’ is the past 21 days. (Meanwhile, I play another song, ofcourse from the same OSTs The Dark Knight Rises). Right, so let me continue on the so-called thoughts from the past 21 days. It all started from..

December 31st 2012.

Back home, after the most hectic day of the year, wondering of all the friends who are making plans to party, rather not just a simple one, but party harder for its what? New Year’s Eve. For what it was already 2013, in many parts of the world, my phone has all the unanswered calls and texts. Well, my priority then, was to sort them out, rather than what I was supposed to do. Okay, if you think I’m dumb for not planning a party, we’re not on same page. J J A surprise call from Akhil, really surprised me. He called up just to convey the message, which really left me for my amazement, as we haven’t spoken in a while.

Okay, time passed by, the moment arrived, I was watching ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, my roomie who was doing his stuff, noticed that the clock struck 12 and we greeted and I went back to the movie. Days passed by after New year’s, yet the pieces in my head weren’t in their spots. They were still bewildering, and I did not know the reason. I wanted to write a post in my blog, but the opposing force was strong enough that I was held back.

So, may be now that its kind of taking a shape, time to break the silence?

Sun rises,  we wake up, Sun sets and we go to bed. Now, all that’s been done in between, we are responsible for it. It’s on us to turn the day into a cheerful one with a warm smile on our beautiful faces or just take it other way around. This is a never ending scenario. It never changes. But, what does, is the number, just like its 22 today, its going to be 1st in 10 days and 1st Jan 2014 in 343 days. So, with me debating myself, that the New Year’s eve is just another day, then there’s entire world, spending billions of dollars, to welcome a mere number? Okay, how stupid do I sound now? But, yes, it was new year’s eve to millions, but there may be a guy next door wishing that he should recover soon from a long standing health issue, or somebody having a tough time dealing with his supervisor and they’re falling behind schedule or somebody on the death-bed sounding more cheerful than I am whilst writing these lines.

For so many of them, its just another day. Well, I wouldn’t really say I was in such a bad shape on the new year’s eve. But, there was a voice inside me, asking me the same stupid question, why? Its just a number? Well, I just dint answer. I dint answer myself. Days passed by. It was almost a fortnight after the New Year’s, eventually, things settled down. It was the festive season, which brings my Dad’s birthday, followed by my Dhadha’s.

Amidst all the chaos, there’s always going to be some sort of news which brightens our world. And in my case, Always!

November 20th, 2012.

Well, November was a tedious month. I was pretty much vexed up by the same routine. Though, I’ve had a couple of holidays for the Thanksgiving weekend, for which I was anticipating from the beginning of the same month, I actually did nothing. So, having said what I was going through, I wake up to such a message from Hari Krishna, my buddy, gave me a mixed feeling. I was surprised at the same time confused. After analyzing the situation, I settled on to being happy. I had absolutely no clue, for the very first time, what was going on with Hari Krishna. I mean I wasn’t told how hari was planning for Canada, universities, visa and all that drill. Well, that explains the confusion.

Hari, realized this point whilst I was typing the above paragraph. For the very time, after we’ve known each other. You zipped your mouth so tight, I couldn’t sniff, not even a bit. Good job Hulk. Bravo.

Speaking of such an achievement, makes me so happy. Hari, life pulled you back so many times. Infact, countless times and you got yourself together. I was really wondering what would bail you out of the situation. It does take a lot. Probably, I understand better now, what you were going through couple of years ago. Yet despite all that, you are here in Ontario, Canada, sitting tight on the best time of your life. Many congratulations to you. Touchwood, that it should be with you forever. Well, it’s not that you can relax now. But, a new beginning, so you can sprint better. Although, in real life, you cannot even brisk walk. LOL J Just kidding.

9th January 2013.

“Call me up vaaafu, chaala important news cheppali…” a message I received from my buddy Srikanth. When somebody hands me a piece of something of such sort, I almost guess it close enough. Pretty much excited about what it was going to be, thanks to Swathi akka, for making it more worse for me, that I couldn’t wait anymore and dialed the number to talk to Srikanth.

Not very many people, at least that I know of, dream high. Even when they do, molding it into a successful one, oh I never heard anybody doing so. May be some have done it, its just that they dint let me know.. :P When you achieve something that you’ve been dreaming for long enough, you are the happiest man on the planet. My dearest friend was, on the date I mentioned above. Wish I was in Hyderabad to celebrate your achievement, but my heartfelt wishes for you. Hope, you achieve many more accolades in your career.

Well, finally, I said to myself, I can finally end this post on a cheerful note.

Radical Notion, A Hans Zimmer composition from the movie ‘Inception’ is playing for the second time, as I almost finished writing this post, because I had the entire album on a non stop loop. Probably, for the very first time I wasn’t listening to Rahman, while writing a post.

Well, YOU never let go of that curve on your face.
